Temple University Ambler’s Health Services office has professional staff members always prepared to attend to students’ health needs. Providing clinical care five days a week, the Health Services office allows students to drop in as needed to discuss health concerns with the RNs, who are certified in college health, and physicians. Brochures are available on a wide range of health topics. Services provided at Temple University Ambler include:
- General Medical Clinic
- Allergy Clinic
- Self-care Center
- Psychiatric Services
- Psychological Services
- Health Educator
These services are available to all currently enrolled students with a student I.D. Appointments with the health educator or for psychiatric or psychological services may be made through the campus nurses. Many services are free; some have discount charges for medication and treatment.
Health Services hours vary throughout the year. Please call the Health Services office for further information.
Free and confidential Psychological Counseling Services are available on the Ambler campus on Tuesdays by appointment only. Appointments are available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Students interested in services should call Tuttleman Counseling Services on the Main Campus at 215-204-7276, identify themselves as an Ambler student and request an appointment to see the counselor.
Faculty/staff wishing to refer a student for services at Ambler should encourage students to call Main Campus to schedule an appointment; or facilitate this process along with the student.
Students (along with faculty and staff) should be advised that services are available at Ambler via appointment only and that emergencies and/or “walk-ins" are managed on the Main Campus at Tuttleman Counseling Services located in Sullivan Hall, Lower Level.
