Transfer Students

Temple University welcomes transfer applicants from both two-year and four-year colleges and universities around the country and around the world!

Transfer students comprise more than half of each entering class and are a vital part of our campus community. You are considered a transfer student if you will have attempted 15 or more college-level credits by the time you apply. If this is not the case, you should apply as a freshman student.

Transfer and Adult Student Information Days

If you have not yet applied to Temple University, we invite you to spend some time at Ambler to learn how you can get a world-class education at an affordable cost and a convenient location!

At the Transfer and Adult Student Information Days, you will speak with admissions counselors and academic advisors to assess your readiness to transfer, go over our transfer credit policies, and learn about life as an Ambler student. An optional campus tour can be provided after the morning session or before the evening session.

Don’t wait!

Contact us today to register for one of our upcoming Transfer and Adult Student Information Days. By appointment only. Please RSVP to the Ambler Admissions office at 267-468-8100 or ambler@temple.edu.

Admission Requirements

When making admissions decisions, we give careful consideration to the quality of your program, the number of credits you have earned and the grade point average you have achieved. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is preferred for most programs of study, but not a guarantee of admission."

For most programs, transfer students must complete the application process by June 1 for the Fall semester or by November 1 for the Spring semester.

You must request that all high schools and colleges which you previously attended send official transcripts to the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Temple University by these deadlines. SAT or ACT scores are not required if you have earned at least 15 college-level credits.

The Admissions Office address is:

Temple University Ambler
580 Meetinghouse Road
Ambler, PA 19002
