Temple University welcomes transfer applicants from both two-year and four-year colleges and universities around the country and around the world!
Transfer students comprise more than half of each entering class and are a vital part of our campus community. You are considered a transfer student if you will have attempted 15 or more college-level credits by the time you apply. If this is not the case, you should apply as a freshman student.
If you have not yet applied to Temple University and have a copy of your college transcripts handy, we invite you to spend one morning or afternoon at Ambler to learn how you can get a world-class education at an affordable cost and a convenient location!
At Transfer Tuesdays, there will be a group session where you can hear from an admissions counselor to assess your readiness to transfer, discuss transfer credit policies, hear from an academic advisor, obtain information about financial aid programs, and speak to the Career Coordinator about their services.
Don’t wait!
Contact us today to register for one of our upcoming Transfer Tuesday programs. Please RSVP to the Ambler Admissions office at 267-468-8100 or ambler@temple.edu.

When making admissions decisions, we give careful consideration to the quality of your program, the number of credits you have earned and the grade point average you have achieved (a cumulative GPA of at least 2.3 on a 4.0 scale is required for consideration but is not a guarantee of admission. A 2.5 cumulative GPA is preferred for most programs of study).
For most programs, transfer students must complete the application process by June 1 for the Fall semester or by November 1 for the Spring semester.
You must request that all high schools and colleges which you previously attended send official transcripts to the Undergraduate Admissions Office at Temple University by these deadlines. SAT or ACT scores are not required if you have earned at least 15 college-level credits.
