No one should be in need this winter and you can help Temple University Ambler make a difference. To support the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service, the Office of Student Life at Ambler is coordinating two service initiatives. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to help stock shelves and pack food and clothing boxes for disadvantaged families at the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard in Ambler Borough at 10 a.m. At 2 p.m., volunteers are invited to support the Crossroads Hospice by spending time with the residents of the Silver Stream Center in Spring House. Students, faculty, staff, and their families are also invited to attend a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day program, “King’s Dream,” which will be held in the Ambler Campus Learning Center at 7 p.m. Information: 267-468-8425.

Professor Bradley Flamm, Center for Sustainable Communities embark on multi-municipal greenhouse gas study

Communities will be taking a close look at ways municipalities and their residents can reduce greenhouse gases with support from a $79,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
