Undergraduate - Community and Regional Planning Scholarships
Arthur F. Loeben Scholarship
Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the chair of the Department of Community and Regional Planning on the basis of academic performance, extra-curricular activities, and interest in the field of planning.
The scholarship is awarded each year to a new freshman or transfer student majoring in Community and Regional Planning. Interested applicants must submit a one-page essay describing the importance of planning in their community.

Amount: Renewable $1,000 scholarship. Students may receive the scholarship for up to four years provided they maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and remain enrolled in the Community and Regional Planning bachelor's degree program.
Deadline for application: Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
This scholarship provides support for a sophomore or junior majoring in Community and Regional Planning who has demonstrated a commitment to community service. Recipient must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

Amount: An annual scholarship of $1,000; not renewable.
Eligibility: The student must be an Ambler campus sophomore or junior majoring in Community and Regional Planning.

You can also secure a research assistantship, fellowship, or teaching assistantship that provides a stipend and in some cases payment of full tuition. This is through the University and there are limited openings. If you are interested in these opportunities you should apply before January 15. There is no fellowship application. All qualified applicants will be reviewed by a committee, evaluations for these openings begins in mid February.
Applicants who would be applicable for a fellowship award must have at least 1300 GRE scores, excellent letters of reference, and a competitive cumulative GPA.
Other Research assistantships are funded by grants or contracts directed by individual professors, and are normally temporary assignments that a student can apply for throughout their academic career at CRP.

Temple University Ambler has streamlined the process for applying for all Ambler campus and Ambler College scholarships. Students may apply anytime from January 1, 2010 until the deadline of March 17, 2010. Links are provided to view specific instructions and application forms for each scholarship/award.
