A.S.M. Abdul BariA.S.M. Abdul Bari
2002 - 2006

A.S.M. Abdul Bari served as GIS Coordinator for the Center for Sustainable Communities from 2002 to 2006. Mr. Bari earned an M.S. in Urban Planning from State University of New York at Buffalo with GIS specialization in 2002. He received a B.A. in Architecture from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1999 and worked for two years as an architect. Later he joined Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology as a lecturer. During his master’s study in Buffalo he worked as a research assistant in the Center for Urban Studies from 2000 to 2001 and later joined the nationally renowned Institute for Local Governance and Regional Growth before he accepted the position at Ambler. Mr. Bari’s interest ranges from urban design and regional analysis to environmental and transportation modeling. He is now working as GIS Analyst at the Ministry of Forestry, British Columbia, Canada.

Elizabeth E. Richard
2001 - 2004

Elizabeth Richard served as Associate Director for the Center for Sustainable Communities and Associate Dean for Enrollment and External Relations for Temple University Ambler. Prior to coming to Temple University Ambler, she was Director of Business Development for the Department of Preventive, Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She has also worked for NASA as a project manager developing environmental monitoring and control systems for the international space station, and was a management consultant for Amoco Production Company. As a consultant, she has worked with environmental health and safety specialists to improve environmental planning in worldwide exploration and drilling operations.
