Graduate Director
Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering
Dr. Boufadel is conducting hydrologic modeling to predict flood
levels based on simulations of historical floods, thus helping
the Pennypack communities designate new floodplain boundaries.
He has served as Graduate Director for Temple’s Department of
Civil and Environmental Engineering since 2000. The author of
numerous articles in publications such as Journal of Hydrology
and Water Resources Research – including two concerning rainfall
run-off studies in watersheds – Dr. Boufadel has been the
principal investigator in several U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency research projects.
