From community events such as the Fall Blood Drive to the “Homecoming Olympics,” from the crowning of Ambler’s own Homecoming King and Queen to that time-honored Ambler tradition — the Students vs. Staff Volleyball game — there are plenty of opportunities to show your Temple pride leading up to the Homecoming Game on October 6 when the Owls take on South Florida at Lincoln Financial Field! GO OWLS!

In the time it takes for a lunch break, you could be saving three lives. That is how many people are helped with the donation of just one pint of blood. Here is your chance to make a difference. Temple University Ambler is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive. All donors should bring along proper identification. You watched amazing athletes from all over the world vying for medals during the Olympic Games in London this summer. Now it’s your turn to go for the gold! It’s time to light the torch and compete in a series of “Olympic” events to celebrate Homecoming! Gold, silver and bronze awards will be given out in each competition. Here is your chance to help a great cause while showing your Temple pride. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to bring in canned goods to donate, which they can then exchange for a 2012 Temple University Homecoming t-shirt — one per person. Saturday, October 6, Bus leaves the Ambler Campus at 9:30 a.m., Tailgate Party begins at Lincoln Financial Field at 10 a.m.; Game begins at Noon
Join the Ambler Campus Program Board and the Office of Student Life and show your Temple pride as the Owls take on South Florida at the Linc. Cheer on your Owls to victory and support your Ambler Campus Homecoming Court! Students must bring Temple ID. Please park in the Commuter Parking Lot near the Baseball Fields. The bus will pick you up near the Ambler Athletics Field House toward the top of the Commuter Lot. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to departure to ensure arrival at the stadium prior to the start of the game. Information: 267-468-8425.
