Mr. Meil’s
expertise is in marketing research, coming to Temple University with 28
years of experience in the field, primarily with RCA Corp. He started
at Temple in 1974 teaching evening courses and was made a full-time Dean’s
appointment in 1996. Mr. Meil teaches Introduction to Marketing Research,
Consumer and Buyer Behavior, and Marketing Strategy Planning,
the capstone course for the Marketing major. Between 1990 and 1996, Mr.
Meil’s students in the Marketing Research program worked with the Montgomery
County Planning Commission as consultants to improve the downtown business
areas of specific communities. The students worked with Ambler Borough
on three occasions as well as Warrington, Hatfield, Jenkintown, and Norristown,
among others. Mr. Meil is a member
of the Philadelphia Professional Chapter of the American Marketing Association,
and a member of the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association, where he
sits on the education committee.
