Dr. Joyce Lindorff, harpsichord

Tuesday, April 22, Learning Center Auditorium

Dr. Joyce Lindorff of the Boyer College of Music and Dance performs on harpsichord at Temple University Ambler. Dr. Lindorff, a Fort Washington Resident, is a leading expert in early keyboard music and publishes extensively . Sponsored by the Boyer College of Music and Dance. Students vs. Staff Softball Game

Wednesday, April 23, Noon, Ambler Sports Complex – Softball Field

Spring has sprung and that brings with it the time honored tradition of students, faculty, and staff, taking to the ball field to determine who will win the trophy this year. With one minor aberration, the faculty/staff team has a near flawless record. Is this the students’ year to take the crown? The Students vs. Staff Softball game will once again be played on the Ambler Campus Softball Field, or as we like to call it "the Field of Dreams!" Academic Awards and Special Achievement Ceremony

Wednesday, April 23, 4 to 5:30 p.m., Learning Center Auditorium

Acting Dean Dr. James W. Hilty invites you to join us in celebrating our very special students. Following the ceremony, there will be a reception in the Ambler Gardens. Spring Fling 2008 -
"Eat Around the World"

Thursday, April 24, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Learning Center Commons (Rain Location – Bright Hall Lounge)

When you come to Spring Fling this year, you better bring your appetite! Spring Fling will have an international flavor, highlighting the cuisine of numerous different countries, including Spain, Greece, Ireland, and much more! The Parable Release Party

Thursday, April 24, 2 to 5 p.m., Bright Hall Lounge

The Parable, the Ambler Campus literary and arts journal, is hot off the press and you are invited to the release party! This is an open mic event with writers whose works were accepted for The Parable reading selections of their work. Live music is also planned by submissions editor Emi Oka and her band, "Heirloom Projector." The Parable Poet and Arts Laureates will also be announced. Refreshments will be served. The event is free, but donations to support the publication are welcome. Information: parable@temple.edu.

EarthFest 2008

Friday, April 25, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bright Hall Circle, Commuter Parking Lot Field, Learning Center Commons

More than 9,000 visitors will mark Earth Day at Temple University Ambler celebrating the importance of protecting the environment and preserving their future. More than 90 exhibitors, including the Philadelphia Zoo, The Franklin Institute, the Academy of Natural Sciences, and the Elmwood Park Zoo, the Insectarium will take part in EarthFest 2008. EarthFest partner the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society also offers their Kids Grow Expo, featuring the Junior Flower Show, as part of the event. The 2008 theme for the Kids Grow Expo is "Growing Healthy." EarthFest also has a new home on the Web – www.ambler.temple.edu/earthfest. Information: 267-468-8108 or duffyj@temple.edu.
